Pokopia's Rival Isn't Animal Crossing
Pokopia's Rival Isn't Animal Crossing
Many people are comparing Pokopia to Minecraft or Animal Crossing, but Animal crossing is NOT what you should be comparing to Pokopia you should be comparing Pokopia to these games. The real games to compare Pokopia to is...
The Jurassic World Evolution Series!
The reason for this is because there are more components in Pokopia that are from Jurassic World Evolution than there is from Animal Crossing. Just to name a few there is NPC comfort levels, ratings in a way, and you need electricity. I mean like where do we get our electricity in Animal crossing and Minecraft? Other than the numerous mods!
Building & Infrastructure
The building in Pokopia is very much a mixture of all three games because there is block building from Minecraft, electricity from Jurassic world, and neat little decor from Animal Crossing. I do have to say that the building in Pokopia is more like Animal crossing and Minecraft, but in Pokopia and Jurassic World you are building for a point instead of placing decor and building masterpieces for the fun of it. The building in Jurassic World and Pokopia help the comfort levels of the NPCs. One dino will like this one thing but the other dino may not like it at all for example Indoraptors do not like forests, but Indominus Rex do. In Pokopia Pokémon do dislike things, for example Onix does not like water but Squirtle does, so they won't care for being roommates.
Worlds and places to Build
In Jurassic World there are many places to build just like in Pokopia. You aren't just stuck to one actual island or in one massive procedural generative world you have a couple different pre-planned worlds in both Jurassic World Evolution and Pokopia. You also can't move onto the next one area until you reach a certain point in the story line. Each place can give you interesting terrain to build on, but it is worth it.
Pokémon Are More Like Dinos Than Villagers
The environment levels in Pokopia is kind of like the rating in Jurassic World Evolution. The reason the rating system is more of Jurassic World instead of Animal Crossing is because the ratings help you get more customers for your park, but in Pokopia the more the main goal and plot of the story is to get humans to come back.
I know in Animal Crossing New Horizons you are trying to get K.K Slider to come to your island, but he is the only person you are trying to get come to you Island. You can also try to get more villagers to come to your island by the camp and the hotel, but let's face it the items you put on the island is for your own personal use, the items do nothing for you to bring more villagers. In Minecraft there is like no way for a villager to find and live in a new city on their own.
The Pokémon in Pokopia have comfort levels just like the dinosaurs in Jurassic World Evolution. If these comfort levels get low the Pokémon will start to complain to you. At least in Jurassic World the dinosaurs won't come complaining, but they will start to break free and start to injure your guest and maybe even start to devour them. *gulp*
In Animal Crossing your Villagers don't really have that many need and wants. All they want is a house and very little island improvements. The villagers in Animal Crossing don't even go to you for their complaints they go to Isabelle, so then you never know who is wanting what!
So henceforth Pokopia is more like Jurassic World than Animal Crossing or Minecraft. Don't compare Pokopia to Animal Crossing or Minecraft compare it to Jurassic World Evolution and tell which one you think is better in the comments. Make sure to House 'em all! Get it you have to house Pokémon in Pokopia and the main catchphrases is gotta catch 'em all. Never Mind.
