Are Nintendo Posts the Thing to Forward to Look Now?

Are Nintendo Directs Just Not the Way to Reveal game Anymore?

We have recently gotten a Nintendo Direct and that was... interesting. We did get a couple cool reveals like Ocarina of Time Remake, but there were also many games Nintendo fans will not care for. So, my big question is, are Nintendo social media posts the thing to look forward to now, not general Nintendo Directs?

About a month ago we got a surprise announcement of the new Starfox remake. This was a total surprise that nobody saw coming. They just randomly posted that we would have Starfox game and that was really cool. Since this was a surprise, nobody had the time to overhype themselves and be very disappointed.

If Nintendo gets rid of General Directs and just start giving us random reveals and surprise game devoted directs, it will give people less time to overhype themselves and get disappointed. For the last two directs people thought we would get super huge game reveals because it was a general direct with no main topic, leaving people to overhype themselves even more. Many people wished for general directs instead of random Nintendo reveals, but after this direct I think that will change people's minds about random reveals. Maybe one day we will get a random 3D Mario Direct. Tell me in the comments if Nintendo should get rid of General Nintendo Directs and stick to random news drops.
